We Are Also The Voices That Represent The Future of Auburn
The NWATF, Inc. was founded and organized by Auburn City Councilperson Connie Fitch-Taylor, Ward 1, shortly after being elected to the city council in 2019. The first meeting was held at the Boykin Community Center Auditorium. Over 60 citizens from the Auburn Community attended the first meeting, in which, many became active members of the taskforce.
The NWATF, Inc. mission/goal is to facilitate new ideas, create new opportunities, ask/answer questions, and strategize for Ward 1 and other underrepresented communities throughout Auburn to become a better place for minorities to live, work and obtain a great education.
The NWATF, Inc. vision is to work closely with Ward 1 elected officials and city management to bring back affordable housing, black-owned businesses, better infrastructure, upgrade lighting, upgrade parks, work with youths and seniors, and improve educational facilities to meet the needs of the underserved and unrepresented communities throughout Auburn.
